Putting ‘le coq’ in ‘sportif’

Three days in and we’ve arrived in Hossegor. And what an awesome place it is. Unfortunately trying to find someone to give us surf lessons doesn’t seem to be happening as it’s out of season but we’re happy focusing on the cycling… 30 miles yesterday and 55 today. The leg hasn’t tweaked once. The plan was to drive into the Pyrenees tomorrow and do the classic Tour climb of the Tourmalet but whilst just buying some new trainers (essential purchase) I’ve just been told where Hossegor goes to party on a Saturday night… the Tourmalet may have to wait a day or so!

The pictures probably do the talking best so here’s a selection. I also need to get some better pictures of the van up which I’ll do soon.

Richard, at last I am finally impressed with some decent photos that bring your ‘just begun’ travels to life. Looking forward to more of the van (with sticker affixed!) and at some point soon …… snow & skiing! Cheers.
